The XJ6 series III was produced from 1979 though 1986. The XJ6 Engine is mounted on a separate chassis which is attached to the main body through vibration-absorbing rubber insulators, provide one of the quietest cars built. 4-wheel independent suspension, lower center of gravity and wider track, provide for tremendous handling, stability, and ride comfort. The “Anti-dive” suspension maintains level stability even under hard braking with no front-end dive. The Series III offered fuel injection, with a 5- speed manual gearbox and revised styling by Pininfirina.
